Hello, and welcome to a tall order

So I made a website. On purpose. In the year of our lord 2026.

This is my corner of the web — a place I own, on a domain I control, that no platform can quietly shut down and take with it. If you’ve heard of the IndieWeb, that’s the idea: your content is yours, it lives at a permanent address, and it belongs to a person instead of a corporation.

What you’ll find here

Roughly, in descending order of how much I’ll actually post about them:

  • Design projects — things I’m making, and how they fell apart before they worked.
  • Notes from work — stuff I learned the hard way so future-me can find it.
  • Art in progress — mine, and other people’s that I can’t stop thinking about.
  • Complaints — lovingly curated. This is a personal site; I get to.

What’s with the name

“A tall order” — something difficult, an unreasonable request. Also: it has my name buried in it, if you squint. Mostly it just made me laugh, which the IndieWeb folks would tell you is reason enough. Keep the web weird.

More soon. Or not. That’s the beauty of owning the place.
