On playgrounds
Every post on this site can be its own little experiment. That’s deliberate.
Most blogs are a template with words poured into it — same header, same type, same everything, post after post. Which is fine! Consistency is a feature. But this is also a playground, and playgrounds are where you’re allowed to try the weird thing.
The rule I’m giving myself
Each entry can bring its own visual ideas — a strange layout, a color that doesn’t belong, a bit of motion — as long as it still reads as plain HTML with the CSS turned off. Structure first, delight second. If a screen reader or a future browser can’t make sense of it, it’s not clever, it’s just broken.
That constraint is doing a lot of work. It keeps the experiments honest, keeps the content durable, and keeps the door open to redesign the whole thing later without losing a single word.
Anyway. This is the boring-on-purpose second post that proves posts render. The fun starts next time.
